Alpha Gamma Delta’s philanthropy, the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, is dedicated to assisting in educational pursuits, enhancing a woman’s personal development, aiding sisters in need and supporting their communities. Since 1979, diabetes has been Alpha Gamma Delta’s main philanthropic focus. Through the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation, large grants are made annually to organizations and individuals for diabetes research, treatment and education. Every year, chapters across North America raise thousands of dollars for this worthy cause. Members of Alpha Gamma Delta give back to the community through various philanthropic projects.

Guided by our Purpose, Alpha Gams are impacting our communities and contributing to the world's work. Alpha Gamma Delta was the first women's fraternity to establish an international philanthropy project. The Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation focuses on diabetes awareness and education. The Alpha Tau chapter contributes to the national philanthropy by hosting an event called "Dancing with the Gams" and also Trick-or-Treating throughout the Edinboro Community. Newly added to our list of philanthropy events, Alpha Gam Slam Volleyball Tournament was hosted in March of 2014. All events raise money and create awareness of diabetes. If you would like to donate to our foundation, please write a check to "Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation" or contact our philanthropy coordinator, Amber Jackson, at aj104165@scots.edinboro.edu
